Here you will find the Repbase Update collection.
You can either download the entire collection:

  • EMBL format: RepBase8.9.embl.tar.gz
  • FASTA format: RepBase8.9.fasta.tar.gz
  • RepeatMasker format: RepBase.rptmsk.tar.gz

    then use: 

            gunzip RepBase8.9.embl.tar.gz
        tar xvf RepBase8.9.embl.tar

    to untar and uncompress it; or you can download each section separately from the subdirectories:

  • RepBase8.9.embl
  • RepBase8.9.fasta
  • RepBase.rptmsk
